MY GO TO BROW ROUTINE
To be frank, my eyebrows are far from perfect. I've left them untouched for three months and they still haven't grown. Honestly, I would have to blame that on the fact in seventh grade I shaved half of them off (thin brows used to be in, ok.). Cue cringey middle school post:
Yikes.
Ever since that day of self sabotage, I've been on the search to get the perfect brows. I'm not sure why I've made this a goal of mine. Most girls don't even touch their brows (if you're one of those girls i'm very jealous). Once I accepted that my brows weren't gonna grow back, I started searching for the best products on the market. Fake it till you make it, right? One great thing about eyebrow products is, you don't need to break the bank to find quality products.
I used to swear by the Anastasia brow pencil, which I got as a birthday gift (thank you Charlie). However, when that ran out I had no $. I decided to go out on a whim and try e.l.f's brow products. And I have never looked back.
e.l.f Clear Brow & Lash Mascara
This product is amazing for holding your brows in place all day. And, guess what, it's only $2! This mascara seriously works wonders and lasts months.
e.l.f Best Eyebrow Pencil
I'm no expert, but this brow pencil performed as well, if not better, than my Anastasia brow pencil. And again, it was only $2!
Now, I'm a huge fan of trying new things. Sometimes it's a fail, like trying a really gross coffee flavor. However, trying tinted brow mascara was a win. Depending on the look, I switch between a tinted mascara and a brow pencil, or sometimes both. Every girl has a preference, it's all about trial and error. The two following products are my favorite tinted brow mascaras:
Glossier Boy Brow
The holy grail of brow products. If you've been on Instagram in the past year or two, i'm sure you've seen your favorite influencer raving about this product. And, yes, it is great and I recommend it. However, if you're looking for a more affordable tinted mascara, read below.
NYX Tinted Brow Mascara
This tinted mascara is a great dupe for Boy Brow (which is a great product, but a tad pricey). The quality to Boy Brow is relatively similar and you get more bang for your buck here. This product is only $7.50, while Boy Brow comes in a smaller size for $16.
